I enjoy discovering the designs and patterns hidden within the trees that grow around us. From the outside most trees appear mundane— trunk, bark, branches, leaves. However, inside this outer covering is an endless wealth of natural art. My objective is to expose this beauty for all to see.

I collect local trees and bring them to my workshop in Liverpool, PA, where I cut them with a chainsaw to an appropriate size to be mounted on the lathe. This is where I start peeling back the layers to reveal what nature has been hiding. Many decisions are made during this process; what shape, what size, which features to include, should I add color, what finish to apply. All these choices determine the final look of each of piece.
