CHRISTINA BIAS
Christina is a Pennsylvania based artist living among the beautiful of the Susquehanna River and Blue mountains. Growing up she was constantly drawing. Trying to understand how the anatomy and fur direction of different animals worked to create a realistic resemblance. Through the artistic help and encouragement of her grandfather as well as her family she joined a group art class at the age of 12. Having the opportunity to discovered a love for pastel painting. From there she took lessons for 6 years in pastels. During that time she placed and won many youth art competition. One being The Congressional Art Competition where her work hung in the Canon Tunnel in the U.S Capital for a year. At 16 she started her own business painting pet portraits. Upon graduating high school she knew she wanted to be a self sufficient artist specifically a wildlife artists. Through the year she has found she loves many different mediums and went on to teach herself in acrylics, ink, and graphite. Animals and nature fascinate her and it is always her goal to portray he subjects as realistically as possible. While still adding her own unique twist to the piece. When she is not painting she is reading, hanging out with her family, roller skating or playing with her two dogs and Bunny. She believes God’s creation is beautiful and feels it is an honor to paint it. She is excited to continue artist journey and feels deeply blessed to be able to pursue her passion.
