Her show at the Gallery will run from April 13, 2018 through May 11, 2018.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
When Denyse was in grade four she knew that she was going to be an artist. So sure of herself, she announced to her parents that she should now quit school and start her career. That was over 40 years ago.
From this auspicious start, Denyse has devoted her life to art and creativity. Denyse’s landscapes, portraits and murals have graced the halls of hotels, casinos and resorts. Her collections of original paintings have been represented in galleries internationally.
Denyse has had the privilege to sculpt licensed products for Disney Canada, The Body Shop, and went on to illustrate several award winning children’s books. She co-created characters for a Canadian TV project airing in Canada and the UK, where her sense of humor and whimsical style blossomed. In 2016 St. Martins/MacMillian, NY, signed an international contract with Denyse for a series of best-selling adult coloring books. Her art has been licensed for numerous household decor, clothing, beachware and puzzles. She has been celebrated in Canada with a Women of Distinction Lifetime Achievement nomination and recognition by Creative Sask, a Saskatchewan Government program.
Denyse’s ever-changing collections of art truly reflect the depth of her imagination, one that has never stopped growing since she made that career decision when she was 8.
